Hanover: Relay for life
Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement. Donations to the American Cancer Society through the Relay For Life movement, help finish the fight as we work together to eliminate cancer as a major health problem.
On June 6th Almar was pleased to be able to participate in the event held in Fairmont West Virginia. Our team ABE Lincoln Together for a Cure Team along with 32 others raised over $72,000.00.
So why did we travel 700 miles to participate in this event? In November Craig’s father J.P. was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, and shortly before Easter we lost him. J.P. has worked with the ABE team for years and along with his wife Bunny was dedicated to this cause. Allison stepped in to take his place at the event.
At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer – just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year!
Thank you to everyone who helped support us thru J.P.’s site: http://www.jpstrong.org
