Accessible Bathroom Oasis

Hanson, MA

Project Details

This Hanson, MA, homeowner dreamt of a safer, more accessible bathroom. Her existing bathtub posed a challenge for her limited mobility, and a complete bathroom renovation wasn’t in the cards. Our team transformed her bathroom by converting the tub into a curbless walk-in shower, all while preserving the existing layout and minimizing disruption.

Key Bathroom Features:

  • Enhanced Accessibility: A curbless shower with ADA-compliant grab bars provides a safe and easy bathing experience.
  • Smart Design: We strategically added blocking to support the new shower floor without modifying the existing framing. A prefabricated shower pan further streamlined the process.
  • Preserved Beauty: The existing tile floor was meticulously saved, creating a seamless transition between the shower and the rest of the bathroom.
  • Maximized Space: A new linen closet added valuable storage without compromising on functionality.
  • Expert Guidance: Interior designer Kati from Mountain Ave Interiors collaborated with the homeowner, helping her select materials and finishes from the comfort of her own home.

By combining smart solutions and expert design, we created a beautiful and functional bathroom prioritizing the homeowner’s safety and comfort.
