Azek Full Circle PVC Recycling
Today we’re celebrating Earth Day here at Almar Building & Remodeling! We’ve been working with Azek’s PVC Recycling Program. We want to share with you all how we make use of the program to create more environmentally friendly renovations. Many homeowners prefer Azek Composite decking, and our team often uses this popular material to build and revamp decks.
Azek PVC Recycling
Have you considered Timbertech by Azek decking? It’s not only a dependable product but also an eco-friendly option. Azek has taken steps towards sustainability by launching their Full Circle PVC recycling program. This program effectively addresses the concerns about the environmental impact caused by excess PVC material.
“Traditionally, when a piece of decking is trimmed off or siding is cut to fit, the scraps are thrown away. Now, the AZEK Company is changing all of that with our FULL-CIRCLE PVC RECYCLING™ program. Utilizing our innovative product technology, expansive network of professionals, and vertically integrated recycling capabilities, we can collect scraps directly from construction and job sites or original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and fabricators, reprocess the scraps, and turn it into brand new decking, siding, cladding and trim.” ~Azek
Almar Partnering with Azek
Almar is excited to partner with Azek and our friends at Cape Cod Lumber to collect PVC waste. By the end of 2021, Azek recycled over 3 million pounds of material. Azek expects to recycle 1 billion pounds by 2026. Azek will turn the recycled materials into new decking, siding, cladding, and trim products.
When considering commencing your deck project, rest assured that Azek decking is a sustainable choice. Happy Earth Day!
